I started out fashion week at the American Museum of Natural History Thursday night attending a well marketed show declaring Be Eco-Chic. Held in the amazingly romantic Milstein Hall of Ocean Life with a Blue Whale falling from the ceiling, the star studded event showcased sustainable green designs from Carmen Marc Valvo, Chado Ralph Rucci, Donna Karen, Vena Cava and many more. Truthfully all the outfits were unappealing and quotidian only remarkable because the models were Hollywood celebrities.

Today at 2PM I was at the Ruben Singer runway that showcased a collection that was not cohesive and unfinished. Filled with dresses with hemlines that ranged from mini to maxi, patterns of polka dots and Pollack art, and unexplainable construction that emphasized the shoulders. Even though the Singer’s runway show did not impress me, I loved the trance beats of Club des Belugas featuring Brenda Boykin’s “Hip hip chin chin” that the models strutted to in fabulous sky high Christian Louboutins.
