I was reading some blogs today and ran across this hilarious post in NYMag.com’s, The Cut about Rachel Zoe. I will say I’m sad that her new reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project has already aired it’s season finale. She has this excessive boho thing going on which I’m totally into right now.

Will ‘The Rachel Zoe Project’ See a Second Season?

The season finale of the not-so-warmly received Rachel Zoe Project is tonight on Bravo. The first season seemed so short — we can’t believe it’s nearly over. Then again, The Real Housewives of Atlanta just started and we suppose the world can only take so much shameless consumerism in These Economic Times. Indeed, New York Times television critic Ginia Bellafante called Zoe “a pox on humanity” and her “mad consumption … downright unseemly.” Sensitive Zoe — who cried when she found a post about herself on this blog — has memorized all of this, of course. She tells the L.A. Times:

“It was the strangest thing in the world for someone who has never met me to accuse me of making our society superficial,” Zoe says. “Judging the state of society based on me? A ‘pox’? This show is not an effort to solve world issues. It’s a bit of glamour, a bit of an escape.”

Or just another shameless spender for the world to joyfully resent/envy? However one sees it, the first episode’s ratings were better than the first episode of Project Runway‘s. So it seems rather odd that Bravo hasn’t confirmed if it will shoot a second season. “Nothing’s official, but if Bravo asks, I’d love to. I can take it,” Zoe says. Maybe you can, Zoe. But can the world?

Any article about style maven Rachel Zoe catches my eye! Here’s her take on the Fall trends from an interview in the September issue of Gotham Magazine.

Seasons Change

Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe knows what constitutes a killer fall wardrobe. And the star of the upcoming Bravo show The Rachel Zoe Project (debuting September 9) lets us know how to put it all together, one designer piece at a time.

Definitely anything and everything Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. Sky-high platforms, the higher the better, And a goldy metallic tunic and wide-leg pant with this amazing headband around the top for Marc’s fall runway-loved that. The Alexander McQueen collection: I want those ivory tulle goddessy dresses. I’ve already ordered my YSL platforms. I Want the black platform ankle boots and the round-toe pump, the super high platform. Gucci as well. There’s the amazing tapestry bag. I love the accessories for all and I like the whole bohemian quality about the collection with all the prints. Very seventies motif and silhouettes, which i love.

I think there are very few trends you have to let go of. We’re still seeing so much of the wide corset belts and skinny belts, and the platforms are just getting higher and higher and higher. The accessories are bolder and bolder. Designers like Balenciaga, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton: They all did unbelievable costume jewelry necklaces, huge, huge pieces for around the neck, which I love. I’ve been doing that since I was 15!

We’re also still seeing a lot of plaids, prints, and paisleys. Bold, bold florals, but the tones are obviously much darker for fall. Tights, tons of tights-opaque and white. Alexander McQueen showed a lot of white tights, if I remember correctly. And I think we’re seeing a lot of clutches. There’s a big movement into clutches. day bags even. like oversized clutches, envelopes, and messenger bags.

There isn’t much Karl Lagerfeld has done in his career that I wouldn’t wear. I think when you’re buying a piece of Chanel, you’re never, ever going to regret it. You’re going to be able to wear it for a very, very long time, and I wear my vintage Chanel pieces like I wear my new Chanel pieces, I own at least 100 Chanel bags and at least seven jackets and dresses. I collect vintage Chanel bags, new Chanel bags, vintage Hermes bags, new Hermes bags. And I never, ever get rid of anything Tom Ford ever did. That will be in my possession forever. I will die with my Tom Ford collection.

I would say a coat in a bold color-a real statement coat with a very strong neckline., like a great sixties collar. Narciso Rodriguez did a beautiful orange one for fall. There was a coat I loved that Matthew Williamson did with patchwork fur-it was leather and suede with caramel color fur. And J.Mendel-oh my god, his furs were just off the charts.

I would also say shoes. Louis Vuitton: The shoes were crazy-high platforms, like crazy high. Amazing. And the Lanvin fall collection was absolutely extraordinary. He [Alber Elbaz] did a slew of dresses that were just so amazing, but there were two particular that had beading and gold embroidery. They’re both short, they’re spectacular. So good.
